En souvenir de ma mère, de mes tantes et de ma grand'mère paternelle,( formées aux usines Bonnet de Jujurieux) qui toutes travaillaient dans le tissage à La Croix-Rousse comme remetteuses, tordeuses, piqueuses de peigne, metteuse en carte, ou lisseuse de carte. Mon père a commencé à travailler chez Verdol qui fabriquait des métiers à tisser . Tous ouvriers de la soie et vrais Croix-Roussiens !

Il fallait sauver ce Musée qui est la mémoire vivante de l'implantation de la soierie au XVII/XVIII° siècle dans la région lyonnaise et dont la diffusion se fit grâce au colportage. La soie fut l'objet des lois somptuaires de l'Ancien Régime qui réservait certains nobles matériaux aux vêtements de la noblesse, mais auxquels la bourgeoisie qui en était exclue, voulait accéder. C'est tout ce passé que l'on doit conserver car c'est la mémoire de notre histoire

Je soutiens depuis le début la lutte qui a permis à ce fabuleux musée de continuer son existence. Je souhaite que le projet du nouveau musée se fasse avec le concours des associations qui ont soutenu ce projet, comme le collectif Canutopie, avec une ouverture sur toutes les pratiques de tissages à travers le monde.
