It is within this cradle, the southernmost of France where the Albères massif sweeps over the Mediterranean, where memory meets the horizon, that Man has been working the vine for more than 2500 years. Between land and sea, La Côte Vermeille vineyard has no equal.
La Côte Vermeille in figures: 4 communes, 1,500 hectares of vines, 4 signs of identification of quality and origin (AOC Banyuls Grand Cru, Banyuls, Collioure, and IGP Côte Vermeille), 30,000 hl in dry wines and natural sweet wines, i.e. nearly 3.5 million bottles.
With the creation of a cooperative society of collective interest (Scic), the project owner, the programme aims to carry out 7 complementary projects and services which will then be able to give substance to a real Marshall Plan for the vineyard. The kick-off for this program is the 2020 summer fundraising campaign.
