THE monument

Built in the french Alps mountains, the Corps trainstation is located on the famous Route Napoléon between Lyon and Marseille.

The station operated for a very short time: inaugurated on June 18, 1932, it was decommissioned after the war on May 15, 1949.
Its freestone architecture makes it a remarkable building which is awaiting the 'Isère Patrimoine' label if of course we manage to save it.

The project

Time is running out and uncertainty hangs over the future of Corps station!

Our wish (my wife, myself and all the volunteers and 'Friends of the Gare de Corps' is to revive this place and to classify it 'Patrimoine Isère' with the help of the town hall of Corps and the Auvergne Rhône region Alps.
Indeed, the risk is too great for the magnificent Corps station to disappear. Whether it is razed by a promoter to make it housing instead of the old baggage room or the office of the Station Manager ...

Two 1900 wagons in front of the trainstation 

We asked for the support of the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region, the Matheysine region, and we obtained the agreement that 2 wagons from 1880 be transported in front of the station.
Thanks to your support, your donations, our energy and that of all the volunteers in the region, we will restore, maintain and save all together this heritage to open it to the public and create a real place of life.

A Place for life  

Once renovated, the Corps station will become a real living space bringing together a space hosting concerts, a restaurant that will take into account the new post-COVID conditions, and an experimental table d'hôte where visitors can also take cooking classes, bread or pastry.

WHY DO we need you?

You can imagine that in this COVID period, banks are not very inclined to finance this type of project!
In addition, catering is no longer collecting any funding from banks which have totally boycotted the CHR sector.
But together we can succeed.

WHAT WILL THE crowdfunding BE USED FOR?

Your donations will make it possible to acquire and rehabilitate the Corps station building in order to transform it into a place to live and visit. We plan to restore the station to its former glory by renovating the roof to its original state.
All together if we succeed in reaching each level we will be able to:

- to 40 000 € uros
   Constitution of the additional contribution to our personal contribution to acquire the body station

- to 80 000 € uros
   We can acquire the station!

- to 120 000 € uros
  We can renovate the annex and the wagons at Corps station

- to 130 000 € uros
We can renovate the entire roof of the station and the annex

- to 350 000 € uros
If we reach 350,000 euros we will be able to renovate the buildings, the 2 wagons and build before the summer of 2021 all the infrastructure to accommodate the public.

Who are we?

Michelin star chef in 2014 and my wife want to get involved in this safeguard project. Renovate old clocks with the help of specialists, find the original openings of the building as they were designed in 1932 and bring this place to life by bringing it all our attention and competence.
